Family Resource Agency is an umbrella non-profit organization that has been serving families, children, and adults in the community since 1972. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve by providing a wide range of programs and services that enable them to become more self-sufficient and productive members of society. Family Resource Agency is dedicated to helping families, children, and adults build better lives for themselves and their communities. Head Start Program Philosophy
Head Start believes disadvantaged children and their families can be helped through participation in an early childhood program. Our mission is to empower children, parents, and staff to lead happier, healthier, more productive lives by realizing the full potential that lies within all persons.
This is accomplished by creating an atmosphere that encourages respect, responsiveness, nurturing towards each other in a manner that unleashes and supports the inherent right to be a unique individual.
Harbor Safe House
Harbor Safe House is a comprehensive program dedicated to supporting victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for those seeking refuge from abuse, and to empower them with the resources and tools necessary to rebuild their lives and achieve self-sufficiency.
Our program offers a wide range of services to help individuals and families affected by domestic and sexual violence. These services include emergency shelter at Harbor Safe House, a 24-hour hotline for confidential support and resources, crisis counseling to help individuals process their experiences and develop coping strategies, court advocacy to provide support and representation in legal proceedings, emotional support to help individuals heal and regain their sense of self-worth, individual advocacy to empower individuals to assert their rights and needs, and support groups to connect with others who have experienced similar traumas.
We serve clients from both Bradley and Polk counties, and we also accommodate clients from surrounding areas when other shelters are at capacity. Our services are designed to be flexible and adaptable to meet the unique needs of each individual and family, and we strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all.
